About me

Hi, I’m Lee, a freelance Lighting Technician and Designer with around 15 years of experience working across live events and technical production.

Over the years, I’ve worked across a wide range of environments, including theatre, festivals, corporate AV, live events and cruise ships. I’ve worked both hands-on as a technician and operator, as well as taking on lighting design, programming, preparation and technical responsibilities. My experience also includes working with and coordinating teams, preparing equipment and making sure everything is ready to go when it matters.

For me, good production is about more than just putting lights on a stage. It’s about communication, planning and teamwork. Everyone needs to know what’s happening, where they need to be and what needs to happen next — especially when the pressure is on.

I like to work hard, work quickly and, most importantly, work safely. I’m a firm believer that you can have fun and enjoy what you do while still maintaining a professional approach and delivering the standard the client expects.

I’ve created Blind Panda as a way of putting my freelance work under one roof and building a strong base of clients and contacts within the industry. At its heart, it’s simple: you get me, my experience and my commitment to making your event work.
